Hi,
while investigating what i thought was a small bit of rust on my first Spyderco - a pegasus i picked up in Amsterdam I was fairly shocked to notice a complete fracture just at the hole on the blade
The knife has hardly been used for any hard work and no prying just the usual cable ties, preparing lunch :-) etc etc

Can anyone help me with the procedure for returning to spyderco?
btw i'm based in scotland so no local dealers :-(

Cheers

Graham

for anyone interested heres a blurry photo of the offending

Sending that knife all the way to Colorado wouldn't be cheap. Select an international dealer that's close to you and send them an email for instructions. As I recall from reading these forums, they are factory authorized to handle warranty stuff. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

At any rate, good luck. By the way, the Pegasus is out of production. Replacement (if that's what they'll do) would be in the form of credit towards a currently produced knife. Cheers.

Hi Harry - Thanks for your help, i'll contact the UK distributors

I've grown quite attached to this wee knife it's proved very handy when travelling even is technically illegal in the uk due to the lock, maybe the pride will be a suitable replacement if i can regretably live without a lock

I think the box is marked experimental which i guess makes a replacement even more unlikey

thanks again

Hi Goatboy. Sorry for the problem and also apologize for the lack of a local dealer. We'll try to remedy that situation with the UK distributor.

Regarding the actual pieces. We no longer produce that model, so we can't replace it. We can give you another model of approximate equal value. You can send it to us in the USA or send it to you UK distributor (Edgar Bros) and they'll get it to us.

It too bad, the Pegasus is a really nice design that is actually under 2" in blade length.

Mr Glesser
Thanks for your help, as a frugal Scot i'll take the elcheapo postage route and i'll get on to Edgar brothers.

cheers

Graham

Sorry to hear about your Pegasus. Mine has been long retired, but does see EDC rotation every now and then.

Nice one - Thanks, i like the look of that, but i think it'll have to be a pride as a replacement, at least for carrying in the UK..
