I like wood burning stoves myself, and theres not much chance of not being able to find a steady wood supply.

I haven't been too impressed with the ones I've seen. They don't seem to put out quite as much heat as a wood-burning stove, and they're not as fun to watch. I'll stick with my woodstove.

I would also be interested in some pellet stove recomendations. We use a real nice Arrow woodstove right now but my low back is not going to be able to cut, split and stack wood too much longer. Where I live now we get alot of power outages so I have been looking for info on the Sedore multi-fuel gravity feed stoves.

I have not been able to dig up any reviews so far so I am waiting to buy one. The company does not have in depth info about how they operate in contrast to a regular wood stove. The last I want is get one and install it only to find out it does not work very good.

I have a woodstove.

Would like to use a pellet stove for the convience. Run out? Did you not buy your pellets in summer?;)

Just testsing the waters and want wrning what to look for or stay away from. I 'd like to learn from others experiences.

Like if you did it again what would you add/subtract.

My neighbor has one and I have not heard anything bad about his yet. He is a very critical impatient person so if he is not bitchin' and moanin' it's probably pretty good. I will ask him which make and model he is using. He burns just under a ton each winter and has a 2000 sq ft. house.

According to a friend who has one - The pellet shortage last year was a Katrina problem. Wood that normally goes into pellets was being used for building products that were used to rebuild NO. No problem here this year .
