Penetrator Tip???

Hello guys, I have a FAT Game Warden on the way to me and want to add a penetrator tip. Could someone give me a simple sketch on what I have to do to the tip and what kind of tools needed? I have a bunch of quality files and if I find it's to be too risky, then I will skip this attempt. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

It's really quite easy, you basically just sharpen two small ~1/4 inch long bevels at around a 45 degree angle on each side of the tip. the two bevels come together right where it meets the edge at the tip. It ends up looking something like the 2nd picture in this thread.

Ditto on the files, they'll just skate across the steel. I find a coarse diamond stone or a light touch with a belt grinder works best. Any fast cutting sharpening stone will work, if you don't have one then tightly wrap the file in 120-220 grit wet/dry silicon carbide sandpaper and use them like that.

Let Busse do it for you. No worries then.

You can add one in easily with anything that sharpens a knife (not surprisingly).

A file or a whetstone usually will cut blade steel with no trouble.

I've used an EdgePro without any difficulty to put one in neatly.
