Pentacryl question.

Can wood "stabilized" by pentacryl be properly stabilized by someone like WSSI? Just got some wood and found out that is what I got and want it done better.
 
I don't think anybody here knows, hence no responses yet. I'd ask WSSI.

My experience with thermoset polymers is that, once crosslinked, they're fairly nonreactive. So the presence of one type of stabilization polymer wouldn't prevent the successful introduction of another stabilizer, assuming the wood was still porous enough to allow permeation (which I assume it is or you wouldn't be looking at doing it again).

It would suck if the second resin only penetrated halfway through, showing up in the finished scale.

If you're wondering if there is a way to remove the first resin, I'd guess not very well.

MIke once told he can only predict results on bare, untreated wood. No Poly, no oil, not even wax. I've had several waxed blocks that I had to grind the waxed surface right off.

But yes - check with Mike. Maybe he can help.
