Pentagon Elite edge sharpness

Just wondering, I'm considering a PE or PEII for a new knife purchase, and I'm wondering about the factory edge on these knives. I know that they're certainly sharp when shipped, but there's sharp and then there's SHARP. (Spyderco's, by reputation, are generally scary sharp out of the factory.)

Just so there's no confusion, I'm not questioning SOG's quality here. My wife owns a SOG Vision (liner-lock, titanium handles) which is one HELL of a blade ('specially when she lets me carry it), and I love SOG's work, just wondering what ppl's opinions were!
 
I have had a PE for about a year now and it was pretty dang sharp out of the box. I don't know if it was 'scary sharp' though.
Mine is used primarily as my daily carry/all around working knife and I've been pretty pleased with it.I'd have to admit that I may even abuse the thing! Sharpens easily. Arc Lock is cool and no problems.

I can be intimidating becasue of the size and dagger like shape of the blade, so I'm aware of who is around when using it.

Worth the money.

Like any company, some SOGs come sharper than others...:eek:
The PEII is a BIG knife... for a folder...:D ,
what is the intended use?
