People! Any recommendations for a SAK?

After experience with both, I don't consider the Wave blades any more secondary than those on the Charge. Actually, all multi-tool blades can be considered secondary as they are compromised by designs that must include all those other implements. Although S30v steel is really nice, my experience with Leatherman 420HC blades has also been good. For many years, I carried a Super Tool and found the blades equal to any task put to them. The only real difference is they need to be touched up more often, but on the other hand are much easier to get sharp. For a day of hunting or woodcraft, you could be better off with a blade that doesn't require a diamond sharpener and a lot of time. For serious daily cutting, however, you would want a dedicated knife.

Kind of my point - on a multi-tool, the blades are, typically, secondary to the other tools. I only mention the Tti because some people get all moist over S30V steel. I have a Wave and haven't looked any more seriously upline than that model. I prefer a dedicated blade too but we're trying to give the OP options and he specifically asked about Leathermans as an alternative to a SAK.

Multitools are certainly useful, but not something you can easily carry around in a pocket. If you're willing to carry it on a belt, then get a Leatherman or Victorinox multitool. Otherwise, get back to thinking about an SAK.

Nailed it.

OK, now the choice is between Farmer and Huntsman. There are 3 stores here which sell SAKs. All of them are right next to the Swatch/Tissot stores. I'll tell you some prices when I go there again, and if the difference is not too big I'll buy from here, instead of buying online. For example a Wenger Swiss Army 70 knife (like Victorinox soldier) costs 14000 AMD (1 USD=410-415 AMD). That's approximately $ 35. What do you think?

The Farmer is the classiest SAK, though the Hiker can do anything the Farmer can and more for less money. You might as well get a Farmer. A good fixed blade is important. I'm a deer hunter. So, this week, I bought the Buck Vanguard with the rubber handle. A superb deer hunting knife, I backed it up by buying the Victorinox Hunter XT in orange. It's probably the best folding deer hunting knife ever made. I'll carry the Hunter XT in the belt pouch provided and the Buck in my backpack. The European version of the Hunter XT has a corkscrew, but the North American version has the Phillips screwdriver. The knife also has locking, one-hand opening main blade and gutting blade and a saw and lanyard.

The Farmer is a little bit larger than the Huntsman and it has tough alox scales. The Huntsman provides more functions, including scissors, which can be very handy. In my outdoor system (I'm not a hunter), I mostly carry a Farmer in the pocket and a Huntsman in my backpack.

For those of us who can't find the perfect SAK, we often carry two. A Farmer and Classic or a Farmer and Ambassador are a couple sets I've carried together. The Ambassador or Classic for their scissiors, nail file, toothpick, and tweezers. The Farmer for the rest.

Farmer is fine. I prefer the Soldier though. Unless I'm hunting, I rarely need a wood saw. The Soldier is thinner, and very classy with military heritage. Add a 58mm model to the keychain, and you have a perfect combination. I like the Rambler, with toothpick, scissors, and tweezers, the 58mm model compliments the 93mm Alox models perfectly.

Is that a Wenger Swiss Army 70' ?
O.o it's an Alox soldier he said, in what I'm guessing is an EDC Pick, I'd suggest maybe the farmer or the cellidoor handled camper (I just ordered one) is very similar to the farmer model.

If you want a little more "tool" for dollars and useful for more than your hunting trips take a look at the deluxe tinker, it has eveything I could desire in multitiool minus the saw, it even has pliers! :D and it's still on the inexspenive side.

As I said before, this SAK (the exact one in the picture) is $35 here. Is the difference too much? If it's not, I'll buy an EDC from here. If it is big, I'll either buy online (less likely) or buy another knife from here (more likely).
