People ever put you down for spending money on knives?

If you are 18 (or pay / work for your own life) and don't hurt your life and/or your possible kids/wife etc lives with it, then it's up to YOU how you spend your money. As long as you are responsible and understand when to buy a knife or not, then it's all your business.

From the way the OP types and the way he has presented himself, I doubt he is older than 16.

my friend,
buy in life what makes you happy.only listen to their complaints when you spend their money.

This right here is some good advise.

Your dad's ok with it, mom doesn't care........buy what you want........
with your B-day money.

Sure! But they spend money on more important things like cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, vacations, and I won't even get into the multiple children and how that equates to success in the suburbian culture.

Now my GF does like her two trips to Mexico a year and we afford that easily, even with my gun, hunting, fishing, and knife habit.

Priorities, priorities...:)

i dont even have to tell my folks at home how much i spend. when a new package arives i get looks from my parents right away, no matter how expensive the knives were. i grew kinda used to it.

you actually tell people how much money you spend on knives??
you are looking for trouble ;-))

I couldn't agree more. The only people that know how much my knives cost are me and my wife. And she's fine with it (for now...)
On the same note, I dont think my mother in law worries about the money, but she does not love how many knives I own...
