Just scored some of this in a 12oz can, WOW!!!! Its made with real sugar, and boy does it taste better than "regular Pepsi."

Just say'in, it's good and you should try it :D

Any other Pepsi Throwback fans here? :D

I though they just put the same crap in old looking cans? You can usually get "real" coke with sugar almost anywhere you just need to find an ethnic secition and get it in 8oz bottles from Mexico. The have Mt Dew throwback too.

Not to mention the real Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb (in glass bottles, natch).

Holy Carp!!!

I'd love to try "real Dr Pepper!!!!!!!!" :D

What's it called? Dr Pepper Throwback?

Just saw Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew "throwback" 12-packs at the store alongside the Pepsi tonite. Bought a Pepsi 12-pack that's cooling off in the fridge now.

I recently tried a 24 oz. Mountain Dew built with "real sugar".

It was not so good, really. Once your tongue gets used to "real corn syrup", anything else comes in second.

As for Pepsi, it just seems like flat coke to me. Coke is sharper, and burns more. JMO. :)

"Dublin Dr. Pepper" - If you ever find yourself wandering around Tejas, it can be found in the occasional ice house (convienience store). It can also be ordered straight from the source http://www.dublindrpepper.com/ (I've never ordered from them, though).

One of my favorite road trips has always been visiting the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco and then picking up cases of pure cane sugary Dr. Pepper goodness.:D

I had seen this in the stores and wondered if it was justified price wise since it seemed so pricey. I think I am going to have to slurge a bit and try some out.

What, you mean to tell me we don't put real sugar in pop, ever?
It's been a long time since the big-name soda pop companies used real sugar. The reason, it's too darned expensive. Lots of small drink companies continue to use sugar though, and even the big names use sugar outside of the US.

They sell real sugar Coke by the case at the local Costco. More than 18 bucks though, so I don't buy it. Would hate to have 18 dollars worth of sodee pop if I found I didn't like it.

The Pepsi throwback is pretty good (and I hate regular Pepsi). But the Mountain Dew Throwback is too sweet for my taste. I thought it would be a nice reminder of the past when I used to get it in glass bottles from the vending machine at the fire state where my dad worked 20-some years ago... but it just wasn't the same.

Oh well... I've nearly quit drinking soft drinks as it is, so I guess it doesn't really matter in the end.

I do like the old looking cans though.

I just saw a Mountain Dew "Throwback" 12pk at the store. I didn't stop to look at the box but thought it was just limited time retro packaging. I'll have to try some.

They did that first, offering a price discount on the 20oz. throwback design bottles. The sugar thing is limited time as well.
