Pepsi Throwback.... WOW!!!!

I tried the Throwback Pepsi, first can tasted watered down by the second can, Hey not bad. :)

Had to get the taste buds adjusted from years of corn syrup.

What I do like about Throwback Pepsi is, it doesn't seem to have that heavy sticky after taste that corn syrup leaves behind.

I remember Wal*Mart used to sell big bottles of store-branded grapefruit soda that was just like Fresca but had actual sugar in it and it wasn't diet. Tasted so damn good and it was only $0.60 for a great big bottle of it. I haven't seen it in years now. :(

The liquor store near my house sells the 12oz sugar Coke in glass bottles. They're great for a treat, but I have all but quit drinking soda/pop. This thread is making me want to buy a couple tho ;)

Jones soda is great, but pricey!
There is a bottling company locally that bottles Sundrop original recipe made with Pure Cane Sugar. They bottle it in 12oz. glass returnable bottles, WOW is it good!!!!

I like the throw back Pepsi it taste a lot better and I personally prefer the old label and packaging better. I am a big fan of Jones soda some of their soda is really pretty good, plus they have all those random photos on their labels. Jones makes their soda with inverted cane juice which like many things taste better then corn syrup.

Mt dew and Dr Pepper also have throwbacks out. Sam's club has Coke made in Mexico that uses real sugar. It's not being marketed as a throwback, but it's very close to the way Coke used to taste back in the day. The difference between corn syrup Coke and the sugar based Coke is like night and day.

don't drink it,that crap will be the death of you :barf:,lots of water, when soda/pop stopped the big 16 oz glass bottles my world ended..........

I prefer it to the standard stuff. FWIW Mt. Dew is owned by Pepsi, hence the "throwback" variation. I'm not sure about Dr. Pepper though.

I've tried the "throwback" version of Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper. Apart from the Pepsi, I can't tell much of a difference.

It's more refreshing. The current stuff with corn syrup is to syrupy and leaves my throat feeling gummed up. Normally though I prefer Coke or RC cola to pepsi anyways.

There was a big thread a while back about it.

Many higher end sodas now use cane sugar. You should taste in bigger flavor POP!, be smoother and less stciky.
