The pics do not do this thing justice. The in hand pic shows more movement in the grain of the handle. This is IMHO an ideal hunting knife w/ perfect sized blade.

What's the thickness of the blade? That's a beauty at a great price point. It should make someone a fabulous hunting companion!
 
Thanks Gents. Thickness started @ 3/16", handle/tang has a slight taper, blade itself has a more pronounced distal taper.
 
Thanks Rob, thanks Hankins. Wenge is strong/tough, attractive & fairly lightweight. It's a decent knife handle material & glad to see other makers using it here.
