Perfect Landscapers Knife

have you considered a 'Hawkbill or Pruning' style pocket knife? Case, Schrade, Camillus, Camco all sell them. I'm sure there are several China or Tiwain companies that make them too - Sheffield brand comes to mind from Lowes. ???

Go straight to Spyderco's Tasman Salt with H1 steel. I've used mine for at least 2 years now (perhaps 3) around the office for cutting chores. I chose the yellow FRN handle and nobody has an issue with it. Office ladies come and ask me to borrow "that yellow knife" if they need to open some boxes. Available in PE and SE.

I have a stainless Harpy, but wanted a more full feeling handle. The Manix 2 or Millie with a coated blade may be a possibility and I found a BM 111H20 for $82 shipped.

Thank you to everyone that has written in with their thoughts. After my Gayle Bradle staining experience this evening (see thread just posted) I am definetly going to buy the Pacific Salt in SE with the yellow handle. I will deal with the thin grips. Again, thank you for your help.

I have a SE Pacific Salt and it is a good choice. For pruning, a Tasman Salt with that hooked blade would probably work even better. The Pacific Salt is a versatile all around blade shape.
