  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Perfect Pairing: BK-16 and [XXX]??

Do you have an Ontario Kukri, the one with the spec-ops line handles? I'm interested in that knife, but I think the Machax would be a better option.

I would probably do a 3 blade system: BK16, BK9 (for batoning) and a Laplander Folding saw or Sawvivor bow saw. I think that would make an excellent 3 blade system, maybe even a remora in the 9 sheath or a 11/ 14 on the neck?

I have one. Spec-Plus Kukri. It is awesome. I did modify the sheath. Carried it all day once clearing trails. On/off the atv & walking all day w/no issues. To the HI crowd, it is NOT a Kukri, it is a KLO= Kukri-like-object. I think they even spell Kukri different. Khukuri i believe. A true HI kukri is much thicker, as in up to 1/2"-3/4" thick spines. As much as i like my Spec-Plus Kukri, my money says that, anything that says BK&T on it has a good chance of being better. The tangs are full width, full/exposed/extended tang. It is just my guess, but i think the Spec-plus has a full tang, just not full width/exposed tang, making the Becker stronger in hard use situations---which is why we all love em !.
