Perfect SAK?

The Compact is easily my favorite cellidor SAK currently in production. I own four of them, I have given at least 20 as gifts and I they are my #1 recommended SAK. Pound for pound the best urban EDC out there, IMO.

I have a modified compact with a phillips instead of the corkscrew. I often visualized and wanted one with the phillips as well as a reamer in lieu of the hook, but in practice, when using the pen I slip it under the hook for use. The pen by itself is just too small to use without being cumbersome. Perfect!

The compact is pretty cool. As one who believes a pen is always necessary in your EDC, I like that this has a pen in it.

Corkscrew? I'd rather have a different accessory, like a Phillips screwdriver or even a hex bit driver, but wine is important, too.

Another vote for Tinker deluxe
For me it has all the tools I need and use and none that I don't.

A (fullsize) SAK is not worth carrying if it does not have an awl and scissors imo. Been carrying a Climber for years, a super tinker would do just as well. I have become a one knife man (pocket knives) with my Climber.

I carry the Super Tinker and think it is about perfect for me. I sometimes switch it up with the standard Tinker or Piioneer when I want alittle thinner one in my pocket. :D

I think I heard someone on here taking about this model and how good it was so I had to order one. It is the COMPACT. So far I really like this one. Not to heavy and seems to have everything you need. Does anybody else like this one?

The compact is so close it hurts; I wish it an Awl instead of the Hook, and a Philips screwdriver instead of the corkscrew.

Oh, and Alox handles :) I'm a sucker for the Alox handles.

I can't believe the Compact has been out for awhile now!

When I "discovered" it in 2010, I bought 2 in Sapphire. This would've easily been a contender for all time favorite next to the Tinker/Tinker Small.

The Compact is IMO the perfect urban edc multitool.

I think this is spot on. If you spend > 90% of your time in urban/suburban environments, the Compact is nigh on perfect.

I spend more than half my time in the outdoors, either knocking around our property in the North Georgia mountains, or camping, hiking, etc. I need a SAK with a saw and awl. If I weren't hooked on the corkscrew (for wine, but also as a general purpose pokey grabby tool and a mini marlinspike), I could be happy with the Farmer + Rambler combo, which is pretty magical. Going with production models in a reasonable size for everyday pocket carry, the Camper checks all the boxes for me.

The Compact is a great knife, but I'd have to say that my favorite is the Wenger Evo16. Think an 85mm Super Tinker without the hook. Another great one is the Executive. The one I have lives on my keys, and is truly my EDC knife in that I'm never without it.
