Performance Damascus - Does it exist and who is making it????

Yes There is.
I use it on the appogee's
Mike Norris stainless damascus does a great job for a stainless damascus. It can be special ordered with a cpm440v core. This along with the d2 he uses in the regular mix is a great stainless damascus.

As for carbon . Most all good smiths can make a good damascus mix that will cut great.
Ask before you buy heheh

Kit Carson has told me the same as Darrel just stated, that the Norris stainless damascus is the best.

For performance in a carbon damascus, in my limited experience, Ray Kirk (Raker Knives) makes a great using damascus. (Cable and L6)

I purchased a bone handled, damascus, tanto neck knife from him at Blade, and that edge is wicked sharp and stays that way. Good looking, functional and inexpensive. I think they are going for $135 on his site. Pretty low for a handmade damascus knife, wouldn't you agree?

My two week old Keith Kilby damascus is 1095 and L6, which is supposed to be a very good mix.
