I have a alarm thats supposed to be from the vietnam war i dont know if it true or not . I cant even remember exactly were i got it from i think probably from a surplus store sometime in the 80s . I do no that is does work it takes 1 D battery and works like this there is a green hair thin wire that you pull out of the spool you wrap it around your area that you want to protect keeping the unit by you . Then you just turn the unit on to the volume you want and thats it anything that breaks the wire sets off the alarm . To reset it you just find the break burn the end twist the 2 internal wires together and your good to go again . Has a volume adjustment knob a test button a clip on the back and the spool of wire thats in it thats replaceable connects to the unit like a 9 volt battery though i have no idea were you get a replacement . There has got to be at least 500 hundred feet of wire maybe more on the spool now cant tell for sure . I know its hardly been used because i installed it myself . It came with 2 spools i used up 1 took a long time to use it used to string it up at work so we could hear the boss coming and it never failed us ! So im looking mostly for traditional knives but im open to anything just send me a message with any questions or more pics .Ri
