This knife is a small period style neck knife. This knife is made from steel from an old sawmill blade. I have been told that this steel is L6 but I have not had the steel analyzed to confirm this. The steel is @ 3/16" thick. The blade is just under 2 inches with an overall length of 4 inches. The handle is made of bois d'arc (osage orange) wood with mild steel pins. The blade has been cold blued but it is difficult to see that in the pictures.
The sheath has a vegetable tanned leather liner wrapped with deerskin rawhide. There is a piece of leather from a beaver tail at the throat of the sheath. It has copper wire loops for the deerskin neck strap and is accented with deerskin fringe and glass trade beads.
The price for this knife and sheath combination is $Sold Pending Funds.
Any post of "I'll take it" in this thread takes priority over an email or pm. This knife is also for sale on my website so it is subject to prior sale. If the knife sells there I will list it as sold as soon as I possibly can.
Please email me or pm me if you have any other questions or would like other pictures.
Thanks,
SDS
