Perrin Street Beat

Kydex sheath is definately a plus. But I would rather spyderco make it with kraton or g10 handles instead of the current "exotic" micarta and price the knife at around $150 MSRP
.....but......then.......it would be just like a.....lowly Benchmade ! :D

They already tried Kraton for about $70 street price, didn't do well. I would rather have micarta for the $150. To each his own I guess. ;)

Dont want to hijack this thread but I too, got my new SB.
Simply put: I love it.
The size is ideal for my hands, the finish is amazing, and the design is perfect for SD and cutting chores. I will (sadly) have to use it for work as it is too practical to be sitting at home in the drawer. (its a CC numbered one too.... sigh)
Do I think its worth the price? Yes.
Why? Looking over the knife, there are too many details that are so well-done that its clear to me that the many refinements and thought put into it have produced a quality product. (particularly the polished micarta and tang)
The tek-lok seems suitable and I will try it out before passing judgement on it. The big test will be inverted carry however I think it will do fine...
To those that dont think its worth it: handle one and give it a few minutes then decide.
Cheers
