Persian Fighter

Very nice as usual Burt. Had a blast talking to you at Blade and look forward to seeing what you and Kyle come up with.

Even this excellent photo doesn't quite capture the visual drama of this curvacious piece.

Truer words rarely spoken. Beyond the profile, beyond the impeccable finish, beyond the near-miraculous centering of the core material with the laminates, beyond the flawless damascus butt and guard...

...the maple was something you could try to focus on and be immersed in. It wasn't something you look at, it was something you plumbed the depths of.

Your table was filled with wonders, Burt... this one was a diamond!

That one's a real beauty, Burt, and it wasn't the only one! I must have returned ten times to your table to look at that Gentleman's Machete. Wow twice, and more.

It turned out fabulous! I love everything about it.:cool::thumbup:

Once we agreed on the design, it was smooth sailing after that (at least for me, I just had to sit back and wait for it :D).

As Burt said, the Moran ST-24 style never came up in our discussions. Of course I have nothing against that comparison though. I just really like upswept blades - "Persians" if you will.

Thanks everyone for your compliments.

BLADE was a lot of fun. It was great to see a lot of friends again and meet some for the first time after talking with them on the phone or via email.
I would have liked to have had more time to meet fellow forumites, but the weekend just blew by.
