Thank you for letting me know, I just now switched the setting. I didn't notice it was set to it when i posted it. Thanks again for the heads up. =)

Thanks for sharing!

I too love the Persian style blade even though I don't really have one anymore. Did have a Bedlam but traded it. Even though it's just a touch too big I would consider getting another one.

A member by the name of edwood7 did a very cool comparison between the Bedlam and Emerson Persian. He tested their piercing abilities by stabbing each into Kevlar vests. Definitely worth a look.

Thank you, I definitely will! I rummaged very quick on youtube and only saw the videos on the first page about the persian, I don't think I saw the member's video. I'll try finding it. I unfortunately didn't have any kevlar to test it on. =(

So sad, i dropped my persian on the floor by accident and chipped the very tip of it. It's a tiny tiny chip on the very tip but enough to remove the needle point. =( I am so sad.

Send it in to EKI, they should be able to regrind the tip back to normal. I had a cqc-11 that I got in a trade. The previous owner said his friend had chipped the tip trying to pry something with the tip. I sent it in to EKI and it came back like new.

If you're in Miami I definitely would want to carry a folder like that. I visit there occasionally and it's a little sketchy sometimes. Great video tho! I wonder why they didn't put the wave on the Persian?
But to me, the Benchmade seems like it has "too much" going on. Serrations, finger grooves, and a glass breaker all seem a little much but I do like a glass breaker on knives.

Hopefully they'll have a few Persians at blade show so I can pick one up!

Thank you for the kind words and suggestions guys. I definitely will have to send it back. :/ I wonder how much steel they may take off? Oh well. I ordered a second persian because I loved this one so much. I am waiting for it to arrive and the. Send this one off.

And yeah, I'm in Miami. Some parts get very sketchy and especially where the night life is. So I always have a 4inch folder on me, my punch dagger and a back up 4 in in my back pockets. So lately I've carried the Persian in my front right, my commander back right and my punch dagger on my waist for my left hand.

My only guess for no wave on the Persian is to keep the clean lines of the Persian and make it look smooth. I personally like it waveless but I also see the benefit to it on.

The Hattin has a similar blade profile to the Persian and comes with a wave. :D

Pat, have you tried the Commander in the back left pocket? It waves right out into a reverse grip.

I personally don't like nor carry right hand tip up folders in the back right because there's no seam for the blade to rest upon. It could unfold.

Very true. I have tried it but it just isn't too comfortable. I have to carry it on the far right side of my back right pocket or far left side of my back left pocket to make it comfortable when I sit. Otherwise it is a hassle. I need to practice more with it on my left to get it to open quick and not have to re adjust my grip once deployed. So if I ever have to use it, it's a quick motion.

I'm fine with the Persian not having the wave, and if you wanted to wave it, an oversized thumbdisc works. It definitely helps to make it more flickable, as well as having a SF blade & Ti with no secondary detent :)
