Gentlemen let me tap your knowledge. I have a new Persistence that I noticed the liner lock is engaging at about 40%. The lock-up is solid with absolutely no blade play. I have experience with several different companies blades that use a liner lock. It has been my experience, or maybe good fortune, that other lock-ups have started at approximately 10-20% when the knife was new. Of course with age and wear this changes and that is my main concern. What is your experience with the Walker liner lock used in this knife. Thanks in advance for your wisdom.

If it locks up solid then I don't think that you have a problem. Trying to guess the future wear on your knife's lock isn't practical.

Just not in my realm of experience. Thought I'd ask. Thank you for your advice. I'm am ecstatic to have her back. Yep its a her. Probably have a name later tonight. I don't remember what the lockup was before the incident.

I don't remember how my Peristence way (gave it to my father-in-law) but my Tenacious is about the same in terms of lockup. I've flicked it and spydie dropped it a LOT of times too. For a while, it was my go to knife. I still carry it quite a bit. I'm not the least bit concerned about the lock .

Cool you got your knife back! Hopefully his son was set straight.

I stole a Mt. Dew from a golf course in the 8th grade and I still feel bad about it sometimes when I think about it. I would make a terrible criminal!

The father was an honest man and I let it go at that. I was just happy to see my lost girl again

It was returned by an honest father who noticed it in his sons belongings. I listed my adulation in another post of mine. I am ecstatic!

Thats great! If your Persistence is anything like my Tenacious, then its an awesome knife.

I've never held a tenacious but if it has this fit and finish for a Chinese made blade it is amazing also. I can't wait to see what my Caly 3.5 is like. Deliver tomorrow or the next day. I'm silly like a kid about these spydies!

Hi Murf,
I have had my Tenacious aprox. 2 & 1/2 years, lock still kicks in to about 40-50% (just like the day I got it). When I got it, I too liked it immediately & carried it pretty-much exclusively till the new wore off.... 3-4 months +/- ?? I have it in rotation, depending on what I am doing, so still sees fair amount of use. ZERO blade-play, very solid, VERY sharp. My advice would be, dont sweat the lockup...Probly be exactly the same in a year.

Thanks for the info and it sounds exactly like my lock up. I love this blade and have a caly 3.5 coming within the next two days. I think I'll carry both for a while. Lol

Lock up on my Tenacious is right at about 40% and has stayed the same for the approx. 3 years I have had it.

Don't think you have anything to worry about.

I have the UKPK which is a non locking version of the Caly and the ergos are superb. Be sure to post pics when it arrives.
