  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Persistence late lockup

I hand picked my tenacious from a local dealer, 40% lock up then and now, 6 months later. You're fine.

How do I do it? I know I feel so ignorant

never mind, i take what i said back. on this this forum tapatalk doesn't give you the option. the other forums i use tapatalk with give you the option of adding the pic straight from your phone.

Ok now I don't feel like such and idiot child. Technology you gotta love it

I finally figured out how to upload a photograph. Here is the lockup on my Persistence. I know the pic sucks, as does my phone camera but you can get the gist of it. I only post because some request a pic. I think everyone is correct, it should be fine?

I wouldn't consider that to be late lockup, by any means. I wouldn't get concerned until the lockbar is getting close to the other liner.

It's a $30 knife, if it wears out in 3 years, you'll have spent $10 a year. That's value in my book.
I'll take that as a no. Yes it is only a $30.00 knife, but it speaks volumes when a company will warranty their $30.00 knives like they do their $300.00 ones.

Sure they do, but only for defects in materials and worksmanship. Some bigger companies may be able to absorb warranteeing wear and stupid use, but smaller companies can't. Spyderco's warranty has been discussed ad nauseum. My take is "if you don't like it, find another company that suits you".

This is my lockup on my Persistence. Of course its only been in my hands for about 5 days now.
