Anyone have "eyes-on" observation/opinion on the new Coldsteel Trench Hawk? I think I want one! First modification will be a stipple checker of the polypro handle. I've done it on GLOCK frames with a soldering iron. It gives a non-slip grip that's VERY effective. An option may be a Japanese-style weave of 550 paracord...but I'm getting ahead of myself. Has anyone actually seen, handled and/or used this new CS tomahawk offering?

i dont think they are out yet unless you might work at cold steel i doubt anyone will get to see them till the are released

The date I am seeing is March 31st...

The CS Trench Hawk I saw a picture of looks a lot like a SOG Spike Hawk...

I wonder if CS will ever take my advice and make the CS Vietnam Tomahawk in black with a poly haft instead of the breakable wooden one??? I emailed Lynn personally with that suggestion almost a year ago, I think...

No it doesn't.

Trenchhawk has a:
- curved edge
- broadhead-arrowlike spike
- different blade shape
- whole different head/handle junction
- different handle design

I'm waiting for the CS Spike 'Hawk.

Once it has one of my hand carved handles on it, maybe about 24", it will really be something fierce.

Oh yes indeed.

I looked over some of the 'NEW for 2010' Cold Steel items online...

I do not like the Trench Hawk...

I do not like the NEW Frontier Hawk, either (the metalwork looks too 'modern')

However, I do like the Spike Hawk...

And... I do like the Slim Stick (I know... it's not a hawk...)
