personal modded 14 giveaway WINNER!

Congratulations, Hunter Sharp! Thanks for the GAW, Mr. Hunt. That was a real fun thread to read. I can't wait to see the outcome!

Ooooh... How about one with a hidden tang and stacked leather handle?
Ok.... I'll stop now.

Yeah! If you guys are interested in seeing the process then hell yeah. I'll show the WIP. Just remember it may take a while. My goal (and I havnt contacted Huntersharp about it yet) but the plan is to complete it by the spring gathering so all of the Beckerheads in attendence can have a opprotunity to get there greasy mitts all over it before I send it to our victor! So just keep in mind, it may be a thread that drags out.

Thanks for the GAW, Todd.... Original cool ideas...I liked it...

You mean the $300+ one that Noss destroyed in a couple minutes...rated below a $12 knife from a cheap store....that one?

That quality?...... OK

That is interesting! I haven't seen that particular video. Was it really that bad Doc? Lol

HS .... Yeah... It was....really hacked off some of the faithful....actually happened again on another model.... Really kind of sad for those that spent the bucks on them....

No insult to your idea....it was great, and I am sure Todd will do it over the top, because he is that kind of man and artist.....

I'm not familiar with the instance that doc savage mentions but I find it interesting because I have a article in one of my magazines that talked about oversees companies ripping off popular designs. Even went so far as the makers stamps and everything. Visually they were just about impossible to tell the difference. The reason I remember this article is because the had pics of the very Chris Reeves knife mentioned here in this thread lying next to the imposter. Like I said, you couldn't tell a difference. Now, I don't own any CR knives, but I always wanted a sebenza. What knives of his I have seen are very nice. But my above statement leads me to wonder if the knife that was tested and failed misserably was event a real CR knife at all...........very interesting.

Awesome contest! Looking forward to seeing the WIP.
As for hollow handle knives in general, I was in high school in the 80's and that was when everyone was all about the fishing kit in the handle. I wanted a Kershaw 1005 SOOO bad, but could never afford one. Years later I got one and it has sat in its pristine state, I have never wanted to use it and now I have pretty much decided to get rid of it... I think in the end I was in love the idea of the thing. All that being said, I am really excited to see the 14 transformed. :)

From my understanding, it was not a Chinese copy...
