Personal Preference Question - Partial serrations or no?

I rarely use the serrations on my BMs. In my mind, I would rather have more useable (on a daily basis) edge then carry around a knife that I can only use 60% of the blade.

Full plain edge is far more useful for my knive's jobs (cutting cardboard, tape, plastic, mail, and shrinkwrap).
 
Leatherman Wave clipped right front pocket everyday, Favorite EDC (at the time) strongside Left front pocket PLAIN EDGE. Now I have the best of both worlds. I work maintenance and yes I have used and needed serrations.
