Thanks, I can't figure out how to fix that so I've signed up to imgur for sharing now.
To post pictures from google photo. You first have to click the share icon in the upper right of the screen.
Then you have to click the create link icon on the bottom left of the box that opens. That will share the album, but the link created is for the album, not an individual photo, so disregard it. Note that when I took this screen shot the album had already been shared so it says copy not create.
Next navigate to the photo you want to post and click on it to open it full size. Then right click on it and select copy image location from the drop down list.
Now come here and click on the photo icon. The arrow is pointing to it.
Paste the copied image location into the box. The part on the end that I have highlighted, is the width and height the photo was on your screen, when you copied the location. Change them to whatever size you want to post. I usually use 1024 for the width. You don't need to fill in a height, it will set the correct ratio. So I select what is shown, type 024 so that the link ends with w1024 and click insert.
I don't know of any way to do this from my phone. I have to use a computer with a mouse. So imgur is probably easier.
One can upload photos from their phone to a Google photo album. Then when you log into google photo from a computer those photos show up at the top of the timeline. If you right click them there and get the link, it won't work. You have to open the album, go to the photo and get the link there. It will appear to you to have worked, but nobody else can see the photo. I have made that mistake more than once.
Edited to add. The knife is my personally customized Buck 136 paklite boning knife.
