This weekend I spent some time in the mountains enjoying the leaves changing as seasons shift here in the Mountain West region. I took some great pictures and decided to include my mammoth NW in a few. I hazardously set my knife up and snap a few pics just to notice the focus and perspective was off and had to step back a step and refocus on the blade. I caught myself thinking how gorgeous the backdrop was, and was comparing it to the beautiful covers of the NW. What I noticed was the beauty of it all was magnified when they were together.
Perspective is something that comes up frequently in my line of work, usually in the context of sharing perspective and finding mutual truths within two seemingly opposite perspectives when looked at from a surface level.
For the sake of turning an ordinary experience into something more than, I thought it represented something I myself need to do more of. When the perspective is off or the focus isn’t right stepping back and appreciating both separately and then together brings new meaning and new perspective.

It also makes for great photos.
