Perspective, psychology and handle color

Many does not hide that fact and yes many of them are looking opportunity to defend them self with it.

Purely your speculation I don't agree with your claims.

It is easy to block any of so called "tactical" folders even with jacket

What do you think of Cold Steel video proof showing knives penetrating bullet proof vests, metal car doors and 10 to 14 layers of leather (used in a leather jacket)? ;)

You can try it and it may reduce the injury or even stop the attacking knife if it's dull, but if you run into someone who's determined to stab you & you block a really sharp knife with your jacket, you're probably going to get "pinned" but good. :)

Yeah I had to laugh when I read that too. Any fight where a knife is involved is aln\most certainly going to result in bloodshed.

while i was in S.E. Asia, my brother (a life long local) bought me a hat. it had a price tag connected by a plastic string. i reached under my shirt and drew my Nimravus (not sure what the local laws are and not really too concerned) to cut the string. the woman who sold the hat started freakin out. my brother (in the native language) says "it's cool, he's a cop". here's the funny, and applicable part - there were people within a rocks throw choppin stuff up with machetes. MACHETES are cool, but the Nim is scary? wow!

I try not to worry about what other people think of me or my knives. It makes life much easier.

I thought this too when I read that. A stick/cane/staff or even a gun can be pulled or twisted out of someones hand, not so much with a knife.

At least you understand what I am talking about... So there is no too match difference between stick and forearm and it need to be tight for little time enough to switch off opponent who would be focused on his beloved "weapon".

Again context is - small folder 4" (even marketed as tactical) and opponent pull it on you announcing that he think he is armed...

Thanks, Vassili.

i have noticed that my small fixed blade in a leather sheath doesn't even get winked at.where as in the kydex it gets second glances every once in a while.

Perception has NOTHING to do with reality. Reality cannot be changed. Reality just is. Peoples perspectives change throughout time, reality does not.
