We brought in a long length of pepperoni for the salt. It was a good, fast snack that keeps for a long time.

Thanks for the pics; seems that you had a lot of fun.
What is she drinking from the tree?
leche árbol-capinuri tree sap.
what snake is that?

What are you using here as a bait?

I would be scared to stay there with flip-flop at my feet, considering all the ants an other small animals around there; am I exagerated?

Snake is a red tail boa.

small snake for bait.

flip flops are ok if you know you are not in isula land, especially if we cleared the camp ealier of black palms and beat the bush back. she was fine.

Thanks.

Bear,
Great photos! What is the origin of the orange handled machete (?) that they young woman is using? John

Yes, what handsome young man with stylish jaw-length sideburns made that that bush sword for you? :D

Looks like it got a thorough workout! Good to see. :) A little 100 grit sandpaper, a little 3-in-1 oil, and it'll look like it did when new.

Awesome photos RB, it looks like you have a lot of fun on those trips. I like the bush kitchen, looks like you guys eat pretty well for the bush. Good to see that Idajo made Nyala getting some use and being beat upon. I think after a couple of months in the south Florida swamps I'm about tropic-ed out for a while...I've had my fill of ants for a while. So, does having the hot chic along make for good distractions, bad ones, or both lol. She looks much easier on the eyes than Jeff, Mike, or Patrick!
