I am finding myself attrached to some of Peter Atwood's designs in small edged tools (and the Prybaby).

It appears that he is using high grade steels...primarily CPM S30V and CPM 3V.

I know that the life blood of a blade is in the heat treat. Do any of you have experience with Peter's work? Does his HT seem to be to the same high standards that his designs appear to be?

Thanks for your input.

I've had a bit of experiance with Peter's HT and his work. I have a bunch of his folders and other gadgets. He does great work.

The times we have talked about his HT, he said he's talked to Crucible and Mr. Bos about his process and what he was looking for. I can say that his HT is good and I like his results. Seems to be around a 59-61 Rc.

Thanks for your post, Saberman.

I guess if Mr. Atwood is working with Crucible and Mr. Bos, he's definitely on the right track.

Thanks again.
