Hello All:

I will list the blade length and what Model I think they are

1st One Down - 7 /34" Blade - Warlock
second one down same- Warlock?
Third one down 6" blade Witch?
4th one Down 8.25" Blade- Alley Cat?
5th One down 6 1/2" Alley Kitten
6th one down 5 1/2 No clue
First 5 Have Sheaths, 6th one does not

Appraisals or Estimates are Most Appreciated !! Thanks for Looking

My e mail is Haris00045@gmail.com if thats easier to communicate

I see a few "sold" prices from back in 2017-2018 for two of those models on Arizona Customs, but that's it.

An Alley Cat #90 sold for $545. in 2018

And an Alley Kitten #36 sold for $375. in 2017.

I wonder if that bottom knife is a Utilikat, which is a very rare and limited edition model with a serrated back (can't find a picture of one).

The Bauchop's have a website with contact information. Perhaps you could contact them and get some answers. Depending on how you ask, they might give you an idea of current market value, apparently they still make the Warlock and Witch

When I say "how you ask", they might be more inclined to be helpful and provide such information if you were looking to insure your collection of prized Bauchop knives, rather than if you were just looking for a dollar value so you could sell them.

Can you post some better photos? When they were made can also affect the price.

These are always tough to value as I have seen mint ones listed at reasonable prices and just not move, and others go very fast. It all depends if there is a enthusiast looking for them at the time.

The 8" Alley Cat with the blued blade, was it stored in the sheath? There appears to be some surface rust on the bluing?

Sir I asked you a question above about the condition of the one knife as I saw a problem with it before I gave my opinion on valuation........for whatever reason you did not answer...... That was last Wednesday.

If you don't answer question about the knives why would you expect anyone to reply?

I dont know squat about the bauchops and there is no surface rust on the alley cat
it looks like case coloring or discoloration but not rust
i donty know what it was supposed to look like
and yes, it was stored in the sheath
That was the only question i didnt answer since i dont know
spomeone told me to post pictures and i did
and the other 5 knives are in spectacular condition and no one had a comment or question or appraisal
Steven, why didnt you at least tell me what you saw others go for??

Sir you seem to think that we are obligated to reply to you and provide you with valuation information because you have a gold membership, I assure you nothing could be further from the truth.

I asked you a question and waited for a reply that was not forthcoming. Now you blow up at the BF members and me demanding we provide you a valuation service.

If I and other members offer our opinion on value it is done as a courtesy to you. Courtesy seems to be something you don't understand. All you seem to understand is entitlement.

Imagine! After all of the hard work you’ve put into this forum in the past, nobody felt obligated to drop everything and do your homework for you!

I think your final valuation sounds perfect though - $1k for the lot seems right. You’re welcome.

I am not discourteous
I dont feel entitled
I am a well respected member of many gun and machine gun forums and when someone asks what is this thompson worth?
they get an answer anywhere from minutes to that morning
Guess I am spolled that way
same thing in the smith-wesson forum
people identify and give feedback really quickly
sorry that i ruufled feathers here
did not ever want to come across rude- i am not offended just disappointed in that i collected knives from
the AG Russel cutting edge catalog and he passed away, we were friends and played cards together.
I have all these knives and dont know where to go
Knives such as case, crawford, franklin, Hoffman, maringer , hale, De Leon
Again. I regret my post above about disappointment
a better word is that i am frustrated and also overwhelmed

The problem is, if a particular knife or model of knife does not have a public online sales history to research, it is impossible to determine a value. There is simply nothing to go on. And Peter Bauchop is a bit obscure. He's not a heavily documented knife maker with legions of fans and admirers, like say Bo Randall.

I imagine that there are a lot of past and present sales listings for Thompson sub-machine guns on the internet for people to research, and a lot of Thompson aficionados, collectors, experts, and historians to ask. Peter Bauchcop simply doesn't have the fanbase or the length and breadth of history that Thompson has, or Smith & Wesson, etc.

No matter how many pictures you provide there are limitations to how much information is available.

If I had the information you seek, I would gladly share it. But I will share this...if you can find a better, more trustworthy source or friend than Steven65 Steven65 , then you are an extremely fortunate man.

If he asks a question, or provides an answer, be certain that it is well considered and not asked or answered lightly.

I wish you luck with your knives and with getting the information you require.
