Peter Bauchop- Have 6 what are they worth?

If I had the information you seek, I would gladly share it. But I will share this...if you can find a better, more trustworthy source or friend than Steven65 Steven65 , then you are an extremely fortunate man.

If he asks a question, or provides an answer, be certain that it is well considered and not asked or answered lightly.

I wish you luck with your knives and with getting the information you require.
Thank you for the kind words Elliot, I only try to live up to the example set by you and others here.🙏

G Greasegunner I will PM you shortly.

What is anything worth? Nobody will give you an exact number. You might get a ballpark but even that's tricky. It all depends on demand at any given time. Those Bauchops are sweet as all hell and I would love to own one or two myself. I have no doubt you can move them but moderate your expectations. We are enthusiasts here (most of us) not an auction house.

To a large extent, what anything sells for is going to be determined by the amount of energy you invest in selling them. You complain about posting photos, yet those photos are elemental first steps towards selling things. You suggest selling them as a lot, when individual listings may give you better results. What you ultimately get will be a reflection of what you put into it.

Per Antiques Roadshow most collectibles bring more money when sold separately.

I am not discourteous
I dont feel entitled
I am a well respected member of many gun and machine gun forums and when someone asks what is this thompson worth?
they get an answer anywhere from minutes to that morning
Guess I am spolled that way
same thing in the smith-wesson forum
people identify and give feedback really quickly
sorry that i ruufled feathers here
did not ever want to come across rude- i am not offended just disappointed in that i collected knives from
the AG Russel cutting edge catalog and he passed away, we were friends and played cards together.
I have all these knives and dont know where to go
Knives such as case, crawford, franklin, Hoffman, maringer , hale, De Leon
Again. I regret my post above about disappointment
a better word is that i am frustrated and also overwhelmed
Peter Bauchop is actually a very well known South African maker, and his work is respected.
His knives were also accepted and used by the Rhodesian Special Forces.
His son Robert is also a respected maker and is carrying on the Bauchop legacy.
I have 35 of Peter's knives and some of Robert's too.
The last one looks similar to a knife that was called the Impi, but I haven't seen one with the serrations on the spine.
Possibly a customer request.

Sounds to me like AGRussell, a sharp talking con artist as well as a Blade Hall of Fame Member, talked you into buying things you now regret. He's well known as a slick operator. You are not the first, hopefully you beat him at poker :) and came out even.

Try J. Bruce Voyles, he's an auctioneer of knives of all kinds. He writes a good column for Knife magazine. One of their most popular writers. He'll sell them for you.

I'm sure he would be happier if one or more members of this forum got on their knees with buckets of $100 bills pleading for him to sell the knives to them. Cuts out the middle man and all.

May A.G. rest in peace...but my goodness that man gave me fits on the forums for years. He just wouldn't play by our rules. He wasn't the first, and won't be the last.
