Peter Herbst model info needed

slick228, there might be some truth to what you're thinking (and I feel for you buddy); however, I believe that a knife like the ti Herbst should be made available for the enjoyment of willing and able Spyderco buyers/fans rather than go to waste collecting dust on the shelves at the SFO.

Maybe I don't feel as "hurt" as you do because I value the ti Herbst more for what it "is" than what it's worth monetarily. Nonetheless, I'm excited that my fellow Spyderco fans will have an opportunity to experience this smooth operator. Thanks, Sal.

I'd be very interested in that offer, Sal. I bought one of the originals for my son several years ago and it is one of the slickest Spydies I've ever seen {I guess we got lucky). My knife-nut daughter has been lusting after one ever sense, but months of scouring Ebay has failed to turn one up. So should you decide to proceed count me in.

Add me to the list Sal, if you would be so kind, have one of the aluminum ones, would sure like one of the ti's.

yep I have wanted a titanium Herbst for a while. I will take two please. Thanks for the opportunity Sal.

Hey Sal, I should have read this thread sooner. You can mark me down for a couple. I hope its not to late. How will you let us know when to call with the CC numbers. Thanks, Todd

Sal,
I kept one of the originals for myself - a great, very smooth knife.
I'll take what you have left over - have Travis give me a call.

I do not feel that marked "seconds" will deter from the original's value. Slick makes a good point but if marked, should not be a problem.

There is a list going already? damn! at work and I can't call them. if someone would please put my name (David Sun, horizon_seeker@hotmail.com) onto that list, I'd be mightily grateful.

I'll email them of course, but calling is probably faster and surer.

********EDIT**********
just received an email reply, my name is on the list. Dang that was fast! Spyderco's service rocks!

Wow! Yes, I'd like to get one of these as well. Thanks Sal!

Did anyone answer the question of what blade steel are on these?
Are they plain edged I assume?

I started a new thread to "announce" what I'm doing with the Titan Herbst pieces. Those of you that said to "put me down for one", I didn't make any lists or record those requests. You'll have to call SFO to order.
