I initially saw this Australian blokes website and was impressed with his blades. Then he just ups and disappears. i read a few comments on a number of websites that he had accepted orders and then did not fulfill them. Did he get sick? Can anybody advise me?

See this thread in The Good, The Bad, The Ugly! forum:
JensenEliteBlades - BAD.

For whatever reason, he hasn't filled orders or maintained contact with customers. With no regular contact, it is difficult to assess what the reasons for this might be.

After reading through the thread linked above and various other threads in gb&u regarding unethical behavior I had a bit of an idea.

I know little (close to nothing) of the technical aspects involved but I had the idea that a 'Wall of Shame' might be in order for these makers who are, beyond any doubt, defrauding customers of their hard earned money. If this could be done and made open to all, instead of just registered members, it might go a long way towards protecting the knife buying public from these scumbags.

ITs just an idea and a good one I think but, as I said, I really don't know how difficult it would be to implement such a page.

This is it -- the whole forum. TGB&U is open to all, not just registered users, and Bladeforums is not legally liable for maintaining an open free-speech forum.

And well performing too, I'm just glad that I got hold of mine before he upped and dissapeared. The only reason I can think of is that he got himself into some financial problems and chose the easy way out, rather than being upfront with those he accepted orders from. I'm certain that had he chosen to provide actual customer feedback and service that people would accept (grudgingly) the delays, in eventually getting hold of a superb piece of knife engineering.
