About Rassenti Integral Knives: Peter Rassenti is a Canadian knife-maker with a superb sense of design and "how did he do that" technical and machining skills. The Alpha model folder is the first of Peter's Integral Knives. What is an integral? 99.9% of folding knives have their handles (frames) constructed from several pieces (materials vary by model) that are held together. An integral from Raseenti has the entire handle frame of the knife machined from a single piece of titanium. There are no stand offs, back-spacer etc. The entire thing is one piece. This is an enormous engineering and machining challenge which is why you hardly see it even in the high end custom knife business. The result is a tremendously strong knife that does not feel like anything else. The solid feeling is like closing the door on a Bentley.
