CJ, Joe, Pete:

How is the volume so far with orders being placed through Pete's Custom Knife Shoppe? I know it may be a tad early to ask but my hopes are that it has exceeded expectations such that we might see an expansion of models soon. Pant! Pant! 532s! 532s!!!!

The custom shoppe is doing well, off to a bit of a slow start, but we've got most of the bugs worked out.

The problem is I just can't decide what to offer next..., any thoughts???

Pete,
The 532 buffs have already begged to the point of exhaustion for their favorite.
I would love to see you offer the 100 fixed
blade series with BG - 42 steel and handle
choices of stag, white micarta, smooth bone
and desert ironwood. No medallions, no
fancy work, just good, honest fixed blades
with a premium steel and some neat handle
materials. Also, tan, brown or burgandy
sheaths would be wondeful. If you cannot
offer all of the models, the old double sets
of 102/103, 118/103 would be neat. Of course
the old 107 brought back would be wonderful.
That knife should sell out the yahoo. It is
still incredibly desirable to collectors and
users alike.
Let's get away from the folders for just a
bit! Now, don't crucify me all of you 532
fans. I like that knife also!!

Pete,
I think Larry is right. Right after you all start offerring the 532's perhaps some fix blades would be nice.

532...Mentor and I also would love to see the 107. I bet the Big Sky with BG42 and choice of scales would draw some interest too (mine anyway).

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, here... We need to get the 110s complete before you go off in another direction.

MY dream 110 has COMPLETE filework and an extended rear spacer drilled for a lanyard, and a thumb groove for easy access to the thumb stud and a great open-topped form-fit burgundy leather sheath...

As soon as the true custom 110s get going THEN talk about other models...

Win,

I'm with you on that filework. Made that same comment of the Pre-Test thread! We'll see what happens

532? No....I don't recall anyone recommending that style.

I went yesterday to have a look but could not find a way to have a different steel.

Was it just me being stupid or are they only offered in 420?

I visited the Custom Shop yesterday and they had the assortment of different steels; 420, BG42. Buckcote, etc...

Stupid me for multiple posts, I have not got a clue what happended there.

Another silly question, is the knife offered on the custom shop a 110 model, I am looking for another carry knife over here (as always) but needs to be blade length , or more properly cutting edge less than 76mm. I guess that this would have to be the ranger, does anyone know the cutting edge length and if it will be offered on the custom shop?
