That is a very nice shaped head in pretty great used shape. Personally, I wouldn't do anything to it other than a bath in vinegar and a wipe off with a bristle brush and then oil it up. Really nice find, congrats.
You could put a handle on that if you like, or you could clean it up as stated, oil that old girl up, and then hang her up. Something that old just make sure you don't do anything crazy and ruin the etching.
As many others manufacturers they started making tools and bicycles.
The tool brand still exists although it has been separated from the main company a long time ago.
About mushroom, it doesn't seem too serious. I'd leave it as it is, maybe filing edges a little.
