Time to change up...
I've whittled it down to two.

Pheer 427 with vfd
Or the KMG with motor and belts

Both are in my budget. Love the convience of a vfd
But the KMG seems to be built better. Just my opinion.

I'm really leaning on the KMG but I always can upgrade it later on.

Thoughts on these two models

I love my Pheer 427! Jose is great to work with, too. VFD is the bomb.

Jose treats you right. I looked hard at the KMG and the 427. Went Pheer.

Though if I had the money and I'd have gotten something that tilts.

I enjoy using my kmg. (Now that it's been modified)
It's definitely a machine you can upgrade as you go along.

I bought a direct drive conversion. Matthew Gregory and his friend designed. Its awesome. I put a gas tension shock on the tracking arm. Then most recently I put a larger (ape hanger) arm for the tracking. Just a bar of aluminum extension but I wish I would have done it a long time ago.

I looked hard at both and ended up going a different direction, but between the two I would do the Pheer and vfd. I love variable speed, it changes everything.

I have the 427 with VFD. It's a very nice machine, and I recommend it.

I thought Jose was replacing the 427 with the new and improved 409 same price?

Yes you are correct...
I upgraded to the 409 but did pay $100 extra...
Although I have not found any reviews on the 409
Any one receive on yet?
