I’ve had this machine for about a year. It works great, and I have no complaints- it’s just that I have 3 VS belt grinders, and something came up that I need more than one of them. This is a great flat grinder, I’ve made quite a few chef knives with it.

This model features a solid aluminum tooling arm with adjustable angle platen. I built another tooling arm with a 7" contact wheel for it, as well. It’s all mounted on a ¼” steel baseplate, which I can ship with the machine, but will increase shipping cost. You could always mount it on your own baseplate or right on the bench.

It's a 427 model, not the standard 327- this is from the website:
"PH427 IS A LARGER & HEAVIER FRAME . THIS OPTION IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL SET UPS .
INSTEAD OF 1 1/4" TOOL ARMS THE 427 USES 1 1/2" TOOL ARMS THE SAME SIZE AS KMG TOOL ARMS .
ADD 75.00 DOLLARS FOR THIS HEAVY DUTY UPGRADE."

The grinder is driven by an open frame 3phase 2hp. Motor. Variable speed is achieved through a Vacon 2hp. VFD, Nema 1 frame.
Tracking is good and solid and the machine is practically vibration free. It’s in nearly mint condition. I have been periodically blowing the motor and drive out with compressed air to keep metal dust clear- a longer term option would be to house the VFD in a filter box, or mount outside your grinding room.

Edited to add: The electrical input necessary for this machine is 220V 1 phase AC. No 115, and 3 phase not necessary.

SOLD PENDING FUNDS. If interested, PM me, and we can figure out shipping to your address. Or, use this info: I have boxed it, with the baseplate trimmed more narrow to save weight and size, and everything is packed very well. The box is 25x19x11" and weighs 115 lbs. I find that UPS Ground is the most economical- go to their site and calculate shipping rate and time from my ZIP of 98855 to yours. Commercial at my end. For example, to NYC is $102 and 3 days, to Georgia is $131 and 6 days.

What's the word on this machine, sold or not? I have cash let's make it happen! 623-910-3692 I am a noob to knife making and have been studying lots of sights for info on belt grinders and have heard good things about Pheer. If it's sold I might get a grizzly, what do you think?

Sorry fellas, it went to New York. Champ, I'd wait and at least get a pheer, or build a GIB. I'm not a fan of the Grizzly, or any of the two wheel machines really. For nearly $600 on a Grizz, you can get a KMG frame with platen for another $200. For that kind of money, you want a versatile, expandable grinder. A pheer, KMG, GIB, whatever will have a rear wheel drive/front tooling arm design, and can be retro fitted for variable speed when you get the money.
