Hey guys, a few months ago I bought a chef knife from Phil Wheeler "an amazing maker," but I have a tuition bill and im going to have to sell it. I have used it once to slice up some carrots and just feel how sharp it is. It comes with a leather sheath, a quilted maple saya, and I spoke to Phil who said he will extend his lifetime guarantee to whomever the new owner of this amazing knife is.
This knife is .140" at the widest part of the spine, with full distal taper and tapered tang. Thus the mass is very central to the pinch-grip point and the blade has nice weight to it, especially for a full flat blade that is 0.004" at the edge. Heat treated by Peters as always, to 60 HRC. Sharpened 20 degrees inclusive.
The knife was originally $400 without the saya, im asking for $320 shipped. Thanks a lot guys.
Blade length is 8 inches
Overall length is 13 inches
Handle is desert ironwood burl
