Hey guys, I thought I would share a beauty that just came to me today. Phil's knives have long been on my want list. Phil is a great craftsmen and I consider him among the greats. It took some time to get ahold of one Phil pieces. He is great guy to deal with. The model I decided to ask about was his Bird and Trout model. I have long been in love with the Bird and Trout design for quite sometime. It varies from maker to maker, but generally keeps some similar aspects. It is neat to see others interpretations of it.
Enough of my talking I will list what specs I have below, and let my terrible pictures do the rest of the talking.
Specs:
4 1/2" Handle
4" Cutting edge
Thickness behind the edge: 0.007 inches thick
Stock thickness: 0.09" thick.
Steel: CPM154
Handle: Full Tang with Black Micarta handles.

Poor attempt to show leanness, (I'm working with a cell camera
)

Taper/contouring of handle
