Hi folks,
Here is a rare opportunity of purchasing one of Phillip Patton’s awesome blades. This is particularly special since Phillip did a start-to-finish thread on bladeforums in January 2007 on this knife:

It’s a big bowie guys!!
Here are the specs:

Steel: W2
Hardness: 59-60 RC
Blade length: 12"
Blade width: 2-1/8"
Blade thickness: just over 1/4"
Handle material: Exhibition Grade Desert Ironwood
Guard: 416 stainless
Spacers: Stainless and black paper micarta

I hate to sell this one but I am not a collector and I don’t get to use this knife. I bought it from a fellow BF member earlier this year. It’s unused, unsharpened, it was treated with tuf-cloth to protect the blade. On the following current pictures, the “oily” protection causes the light effects on the blade.

Unfortunately there is a little scratch on the handle, which you can see on the second last picture. It’s very minor, however I can’t sell it pristine anymore. So, I bought it for 600 US$ and will sell it for 550 $, shipping extra given the weight and size of this knife. I am interested in trades if it is a reasonable offer of a custom camp knife/chopper (no Becker, Busse etc. please) and different values/prices can certainly be adjusted if necessary.

First “I take it” in this thread or by email/PM etc. get’s it. I am certainly not responsible if it is against your local law to purchase, owe or carry this knife! I won't be able to go only again until tonight or even tomorrow so don't be surprised if a reply takes a while!

Thanks, looking forward to your reply guys!
