Hi all, here is a beauty of a knife. Bought this from Phillip last year and have not had a chance to use it. It is unused but the edge developed some corrosion on the way from Phillip to me. To be fair, Phillip offered to resharpen the knife to remove the corrosion but I declined because I had planned to use the knife. I stropped the edge and for the most part the corrosion is removed but some light pitting remains. Steel: 1084/15n20 About 150 layers, twisted. Flat ground.
Hardness: 59-60 RC
Blade length: 3-3/4"
Total length: 8"
Blade thickness: 5/32"
Handle material: presentation grade desert ironwood
Stainless hardware.

This machete started out as an 18" blank that was purchased from Andy Roy of Fiddleback knives. The swedge and handle were later added by Jared Oeser. It's a great-feeling machete, but I prefer my other 18" Fiddleback. Price is $115 shipped. Reasonable offers will be considered. Payment by USPS money order or PayPal (no extra fees). TK Steingass hunter. Steel is 1095 and the handle is spalted maple. Due to the double-struck logo, this was a blem by Mr. Steingass. Perfect knife otherwise. Price is $180 shipped.
