you mean like go back in time and change some thing in your life?? yea dont give the basterd a ride home. the one that stabbed me 6 times so I can walk and have a normal life.
I didn't know that. That's horrible. Why is evil done to good people? There no satisfactory answer to that question.
 
From my perspective as an atheist with no notion of any sort of afterlife, the phrase simply implies that one should live one's life as fully as possible.
To remain interested, involved, and concerned, and to realize that since this is the only life we'll experience, a certain responsibility is implied.
This is Humanist philosophy; that humans have the ability to control their own destiny and order their own societies, and thus have the responsibility to do so in a manner that benefits all.
 
To answer Socrates question of How should I live my life? I'd go with Aristotle's response... live a life that others would have reason to emulate, and put forth an effort to excel at everything you attempt.:D

I was raised to help other people out that need it. I worked with him that day at a day labor place. I just got out of the army and was working there until I could figger out I wanted to do with my life. I was only 21 years old.

Let's come up with a cool term for that. Like "shootist" instead of "shooter", which implies one who regards shooting as an art and practices it accordingly. And while we're at it, maybe we can also come up with one who worships beautiful blonde ladies?

Then that is something truly admirable then. Really, you could count how many people are still actually doing the values they were taught when they were young.

I am truly sorry for what happened to you, but you are still alive though and that's what matters because it makes us stronger. It is not about what happens to us in life, but rather how we deal with it and learn from it.
