Philosophy on When to "Let Go"

I collected mostly American Automatic knives for ~20 years. Lots of rare/collectable models and many with HG blades.
The majority were Microtechs, but WhiteWolf, Woodard, ProTech, DKW's, and others were well represented. Over 120+ knives in all.
Had a lot of fun and a lot of enjoyment over those 20 years, met a lot of good folks, and made some lifelong friends in the hunt.
Both at Shows and on the Forums.

There then came a time a couple of years ago when I wanted something a little more. It was time. Hitting retirement age was a part of it. And a little place in Central America on a quiet Pacific coast beach was another. Where the sun sets where it's supposed to--in the water. The waves there are great, consistent, and challenging. The fishing offshore and right off the sandy beach the same.
Having no kids and no ex-wives, it was easy. Sold the main part of the collection to a couple of friends, and several more to others who had dibs for years. And of course, kept a couple of favorite Users.
Bought that little place, and haven't looked back...
