Phoenix abrasives?...

I got some samples from them. It is pretty decent stuff. For sure better than your typical cheap Hermes belts.

I guess they should be better than Hermes aluminum oxide belts if you are talking their ceramic ones which cost the same as the 3M and Norton Blaze. I found these want to fray easily on the edges.

I got some samples from them a while back. Some J-flexes that I didn't like much and some ceramic orange Fandelli roughing belts. I'm too spoiled by the 984F belts I've been using, the Fandellis glazed up and dulled about like a Blaze belt, and didn't want to cut my 62 Rc AEB-L anymore. They're OK for un-hardened and carbon steel grinding, but not cheap enough to be an attractive alternative.

That said, I was at Ed Schempp's shop a while back, and he uses the orange ceramics and likes them OK. Guess it all depends.

I haven't tried their new blue/purple ceramic belts, though...

I've been using Phoenix for a few years now and they provide quality belts for very good prices. Might not be blaze ceramic quality from super grit or what not but they are fine for me. The biggest thing is the customer service. It is excellent. I'm a stickler for good customer service

I've been buying from them for a while, primarily their green j-flex. As clivehamilton77 says, excellent customer service.
