I think these hammers look really awsome on the internet but have heard that their customer service is not the best. Does anyone have an opinion or an experience to share? Thanks

They seem like nice hammers. I've actually spoken with one professional blacksmith who uses one (Becky Little from Canada) and asked her to compare it to theIron Kiss hammer she was using at our event. John's Iron Kiss hammers are the only other hammer I know of that have a similar feature set to the Phoenix hammer (clamping, etc). She said that the two hammers were very similar and she liked both.

As always, I've GOT to pimp John's Iron Kiss hammers. They have some benefits over the Phoenic hammers IMHO. For one, I guarantee his customer service will be top notch. John is a very knowledable guy and will provide you with excellent customer service. Period.

Also, the Iron Kiss can be broken down into pieces small enough for 2 guys to move by hand. That in itself is a potentially HUGE advantage. You can also adjust the height of the stroke on the Iron Kiss, which I'm not sure that any other hammer does.

Anyways, ad mode off, but if you're thinking of buying a big air hammer, at least call John Larson and talk to him about the Iron Kiss vs. the Phoenix. He'll be honest with you about the advantages and disadvantages of both.

Mike, I am unable to contact you privately as you have not given that option in your profile.

I have a Phoenix 150B, with additinal dies, two years old which I am considering selling....including air lines, flter and compressor.

Hammer is located just north of San Antonio Texas. Contact me if you wish to discuss this.

Thanks.

I have one of the old Bullhammers. I like the hammer but personally, I'd be hesitant about sending any money to Tom Troszak unless he was at your door with hammer in hand. I've just heard to many stories about his lack of communication and poor customer service.
