Phone numbers for passaround?

I think I'm going to start requiring this for passarounds. The reason being is that usually during a passaround someone(s) disappears for a week (or more) and many people don't have their numbers listed or use a PO box.

So far we haven't lost a passaround yet, but I think a helpful phone call would do wonders to move things along.

What do you think? Or am I being a hardass?
 
If I was going to get in on it I wouldn't want to post it on tthe forum but I wouldn't mind giveing it to the others in on it at all.I give my ph # with my address to everyone I trade with.
 
I think that it is completely reasonable to ask for a phone number--after all, as the initiator of the pass-around you are trusting people that you've never met before with something that you bought with your hard-earned money. I admit I'd be a little reluctant to give out my number but I don't think it an unreasonable request. But I think that maybe it would make some people feel better if the number stayed only with the originator of the pass-around for reference rather than given to all of the participants (I'm a bit on the paranoid side). Also, I think if the participant is using a P.O. Box, then a phone number should be mandatory.
 
Dave, I sent you an email with my phone number. I am not sure if I included it with my address.

If you are nice enough to supply a knife for a passaround, you should not feel guilty asking for phone numbers. Anyone that doesn't want to supply one should not be considered for a passaround in the first place. In my opinion at leat.

I have a name of a person, and address but no phone, haven't responded to emails yet. (They could be away) I'd just feel better if I could reach out and touch someone. :D
 
You can always give Yahoo People search a try, Maybe you can find his number that way. It wasn't long ago when someone disapeared on a passaround and you had to call him huh? Good luck :)
 
Know what, it has never occurred to me before now, but I just got an email about which email to use on the passarounds. I think I'm going to also ask for the email address that people check regularly.
 
The address of the emails that have been sent to you is the account I check the most. It is also the one that you will find in my profile.
