Don't tread on me

Nice UMP!
Too bad it's just semi-auto (or am i wrong?) and does this have a folding stock or is it a fixed stock? it looks like the hinge for the folding stock is missing.
Looks great!! guns are fun!!!
Oh, the '6 looks great too, nice combination

NICE '6 there, Sabre! I would have bought that one, as several suspects pointed me in the direction you took. I'm still in the hunt, though. I considered the price you paid within my limits for a new one.

My invoice # is 1516, (4/99,)... my call to ECK last week stated the usual... 2-3 years, and THATS what put me in the hunt for one to buy and enjoy NOW. Boy, I thought I was getting CLOSE.....have learned a lot for such a short time here on the forums.....

Enjoy that '6 in good health!

It's a USC.... great one, Grey one!

The have a kit for black color that look really nice...

The only problem is only 10 rounds and than the grip is too thick that doesn't let me hold the gun with my hands (small) but great gun...

You can't have too many HK's!

A-ha! is that the "lesser" evil version of the UMP then? (no rock'n roll, small magazine, no folding stock etc.)
That grey does look good!
And most definitely you can't have too many H&K's!

As long as we're talking UMPs, here's a UMP cut-a-way that I was playing with. Dig the clear polymer.

COOL!! Hey - dumb question. Is that a display model, or does it actually fire? Seems like it'd be a bitch to get powder residue off all that nice, clean, clear plastic...

(carrying a Commander as I type)

If i'm not incorrect this gun is a cut away, it has holes cut to show the working parts, probably if you fired it it'd be even more bitch to get the powder residue of your nice, clean, clear face

i've seen a few of those for other guns like Yugo AK's and so on, it's pretty cool being able to watch the bolt unlock, disconnector letting go of the hammer etc.
Me wants!

Been thinking of a UMP in 40 cal but the 10 rnd mag limit puts me off. It would be nice to convert to an SBR to go with my SP-89. Maybe H&K will offer a "pistol" version of the UMP!Anyway nice 6!

It's not a working model. I think the clear body would be cool on a working UMP, but it's not "Tactically Correct".

Sabre, why would anyone want an HK or Emerson anyway? Their technology and design are practically to the point of being archaic. Now the Blaser LRS2, now there's a weapon

Hmmmm. . . That explains why the top operators in most of the free world carry both then !

Edited for the sake of decorum.

There was a lot of smiley faces and laughing. Very unbecoming. I apologize.

I will say that we are talking apples and oranges here. Sub machine guns are very different from bolt action rifles. Don't get me wrong, I like bolt actions, I own several. But I wouldn't exactly equate "Bolt Action" with "Cutting Edge Technology". Polymer based Sub Guns may be a little closer to the mark.

I'm sure "Guns and Weapons for Ninjas" or "Soldier of Fantasy" said wonderful things about the Blaser, but what exactly does it offer that a Sako or Remington doesn't for a fifth (maybe . . . maybe a quarter) of the price.

If old, nasty Emersons aren't your bag, might I suggest finding an MOD forum. They have a new Dieter fantasy fixed blade that may be right up your alley.

Welcome to the forums "Gr8Swammee". Anything we can do for ya', just ask. Troll on.

ok, thank you for the welcome but I do have a few quams to make. First of all when referring to the blaser, I was stating that in its class (bolt action) it is pretty state of the art when compared to where sub machineguns are today and where they can be. Granted the bolt action was been honed down and crafted for many more years, but I feel that HK designed a great weapon and decided to sit on their laurels for a bit longer than they should have. Emerson I believe to be a wonderful company as I have the pleasure of using a CQC-7 (lefty) in daily use for some time now. My problem with emerson is that they too have excellent design (nothing else feels better in the hands IMOP) but the materials could be improved on (perhaps a steel with tungsten or cobalt in it for better edge retention). Sorry to disturb so many "die hards" out there with my brief comment earlier, but don't think that my earlier brevity lends me to the title of a troller. Stirring the pot every once in a while is fun, but I do find in general that the "boys" with the pricier toys are far too easy a target to upset as their brand loyalty has blinded them from embracing newer and possibly better technology.

The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it.</font>

Reference the whole "Cobalt" and "Tungsten" thing . . . What the Hell are you cutting? Hey dd1967, did you feel the need for "Cobalt" or "Tungsten"? LOL
biggrin.gif

There are exotic metals out there. I saw one recently that would knock your socks off (I promised not to talk about it). But we're talking about taking a $219 (MSRP) Commander and turning it into a $1200 - $1500 knife.

154CM works plenty fine for me. Thanks

Respectfully,

John
