Normally I try to ignore the pogues, but.....So swamme do you own a Blaser, or did you just read about it somewhere. If you do own one, and want to put your money where your mouth is on how good new technology is, I got a very ugly looking Remington 700 that shoots..., no other sniper rifle from ANY manufacture has outgrouped it in military trials, and I would say the Remington 700 is.....old and outdated. I'll take "proven" over "new" any day of the week. Simple and economical for the mission is also a consideration. I don't know how much of an operator you are, but I guarantee you wouldn't want to be ditching or destroying your high dollar toys for mission success. Enough from me.

....concerning Emerson quality--I know for an ABSOLUTE FACT that when the time comes, which I hope it never does, that my Commander, with it's lowly 154CM steel, will be able to cut those loose threads and hangnails, as good as any other knife available, even if it's laced with spent nuclear fuel rods, (american kind--not russkie kind (sorry Ivan!)) so, hey-- let's keep up the fun. :-} nice pics, btw!

Nyeti,
No, No, Please I'm pleading w/ you....
Don't unleash FRANKENSTEIN again !

Ok Swamee, Just a piece of advice. There was a time when I was also a student at a major west coast university, and was already addicted to high speed low drag guns and gear. I was able to spend a good deal of time training with some very serious players from various military and law enforcement teams (and still do). The best way to learn is to keep your non-experience based opinions to yourself and try to learn and ask educated questions. When you jump into a forum like this with your attitude that people who like Emersons and HK's are stupid, no one will give you the time of day, or explain to you why they do use them. There are several people on this forum who have faced the elephant with both systems and won. You would be better off trying to tap that knowledge rather than confront it. I have quit posting on several other forums due to the armchair commandos wanting to face off on issues that they have ZERO personal knowledge of. I really like this forum because of the people on it and the knowledge they have. So don't come here and take a cr*p. Now, if you got your money and your Blaser, me and Frankenstein are waiting........

Ahhhhh, the Remington 700. Kenny Jarrett of Jarrett Rifles loves to use the 700 action for his custom "Beanfield" rifles, (Kenny likes to shoot deer at long distances, and his rifles do it consistently). Very nice guns. Oh, I also carry an Emerson Commander, everyday, very nice knife.
