Thanks Frank, nice to know it's not something with my computer. I've been wondering, as sometimes it's very frustrating. But yes, this is a busy site and by far the best on the web that I've found for this subject. :)

Gary, that 2-bladed #79 of yours, with the bark ivory scales, is a real looker. I haven't seen those scales before---was that something special for the Rendevouz?

I have the 3-bladed #79 and have been hankering for a 2-blade model for a little compare-and-contrast. If I could find one in those pretty covers, I'd likely jump.

I think they are limited runs with ivory, you don't see a lot of them but occasionally, I don't know if you could make a request to be notified when they come out again or not?

But, it'd be worth a try !!!

Strange that I've never been much of a spear point kinda guy but these two are really very nice, and while I made a vow, ok not a real strong vow obviously ;), of not buying anything right now, I think I am going to be looking for a stag two bladed one to fit in my 'collection' of these, they are just that nice!!!

Now, as I've said in other posts, just be prepared to sharpen it up a bit, and it's not really a big chore but you'll want to do that, mine is such a good cutter now!

Gary, an interesting side note is that Bill Howard hafts all the ivory models himself and the numbers are very limited in any pattern. They're usually made for special occasions, like the GEC Rendezvous or "Wounded Warrior" auctions, or sometimes a few in newly released patterns. You are fortunate indeed to have such a beauty in your possession.

Good to know Barry, and yes, once Chris took that out for me to look at, it was love at first site, she had a couple others to also look at but that one seemed just right, enough character in the ivory to keep it interesting. I had no idea it would be there, but it wasn't staying ;) glad I didn't have to go down to the 1st National Bank of Titusville and knock it over in order to get it, had just enough to cover the cost :)

I checked the GEC's website and they don't have any more listed so I guess the other two they had are gone that day.
